I don't just make cards - I adore embroidery and painting too and could happily do both all day. In this sample, I could combine my love of both!!
This is another Stitchery I made for my DD's bedroom wall. It is a design by Libby Richardson from Artsmart Craft Cottage (Australia). The teddy comes as a kit with the pre-printed bear on calico plus the rose button and comprehensive instructions, but you choose the colours and fabrics.
I painted the teddy with JoSonya acrylic paints plus Textile medium, then embroidered around the bear outlines, sewed on the gorgeous rose button on the hat before attaching the panels. The rose and leaf corners have been embroidered, the batting sewn on and lastly I quilted around the panels and the roses and leaves. Bought a low priced frame from KMart, removed the glass panel and mounted the Stitchery to the backing board. The glass panel is left off so the embroidery doesn't go mouldy.
Very quick and adorable for any young girl's bedroom - or someone like me who adores teddies!!
Thanks for peeking!

Such a darling painted teddy on calico and love the embroidery. Been a long, long time since I embroidered. Of course, my mother taught me when I was a little girl. This will be precious on your DD's bedroom wall. Great job! Love it!!
