This is for Mothermark's Teapot Tuesday challenge #53, come start a new year of teapots with her: http://mothermark.blogspot.com/
Today she is featuring a darling little teapot night light...which I typically refer to as a NOTpot challenge, but this one is too cute to call names!
So why am I bringing a candle you ask? Well we are in Hershey, PA, this week, vacationing with Maureen Vollaro! There was an awesome laser light show! However, word has it that Susan aka One4Joy, and Sabrina aka Cook22, were a wee bit overzealous after their blog candy/gallery candy win from last week! They decided to "help" with the light show to celebrate, and blew fuses out of every home, hotel, and trailer park in a 20 mile radius! So luckily an Amish buggy was riding on by, picked us up, and we will be staying in Lancaster, PA, overnight on a farm sans electricity anyways! See you next week, if we can all borrow a horse back to our respective states, hee!

Kelly, hope that is a dripless candle or your little mousey friend will be cooked! Guess you will be coming in the back door. You know, for one who keeps a Naughty n Nice list, you sure seem to be on the naughty side a lot these days. LOL..... Well this here Westerner loves your candle card. I like how you cut out the bg scalloped part. Way cool. Oops! Just notice that flame is mighty close to that valance top. This card is just an accident waiting to happen. Hope Muddermark has an extinguisher with her. Them lights in PA are never going to come back on between your card in flames and Susan and Sabrina and their overzealousness. What a party! Love it.....the card and the party! TFS :0) Call me if you can't find a ride back home! I have friends.

I would share a horse with you but we are heading different directions. I love your candle. I just hope your candle doesn't get carried away like NancyRuth's candle did with yesterday's technique challenge. It burned out of control. That light show was something else while it lasted. I love how your little mousie looks. I like his little cheeks.

so cute, glad you have a light while all the electricity is out. The Amish probably don't use electric anyway so they won't miss it. Oooooh, Lancaster has lots of great Amish cooking. I think that is even bettah than the chocolate. Maybe I will come to join you and give up chocolate.

And province!
Kelly, this is adorable! I am glad you got them. I was sitting quietly when all of a sudden the lights went out and people started screaming and I saw Sabrina and MariLynn just walk by me quickly. Couldn't even ask them what was going on...now I know. Those two, you gotta love them for wanting to help make our party better tonight!
I really love your image and the layout you made. TFS Kelly.

I heard it blow! But I thought it was the fireworks that APandi (Marilynn) brought to the tea party! Yikes, I was gonna bring the photographer to Hershey Park, he is an electrician when he's a not-photographer, but he was scared of the boa in the backseat! So, here I am stuck in the dark, when I am celebrating the light, watching the girls swimming in the giant chocolate bowl, hoping that Berties worms out of the tea pot spout, stressing over the electrical lazer light show blow up, and trying to get the party going for a light socket dressed up in a hat! What's one more issue with the Amish? Do they have any tea in their cupboards?
I am so impressed you had time to make a card today girlfriend. An a great card at that! Your precious little mouse is looking a little apprehensive. Maybe its the boa slithering up the cupcake! yikes!

lol...I was just thinking of Maureen reading all this on her Blackberry....she has to be laughing...the trouble she caused today! Dragging all of us out to this beautiful Amusement Park and we bring snakes, worms, candles, choc, mice, and the list goes on...Now we get the Amish ppl involved. The Amish dont mind being in the dark...but geez i was just about to have some tea and choc and the lights go out.
And one more thing......Your Card....Great Job!!! show me the light....I can smell the tea and the chocolate but cant see it.

I was having elect.problems in my apt, and landlord had to call in an electrician....Ok so now I know who the real culprits were..yah..Susan & Sabrina. Well Kelly if you don't mind I'm going to borrow your candle just in case they come back.
Love your MS punch and how you did the scalloped window. And that little mouse is so cute, and great coloring job. Darling card Kelly

Me up to mischief again!! No way - I did higher level physics and have too much respect for electricity and light to mess around with it. All I did was bring my little torches. Every time I go into the electronics store they try to sell me a little torch for my key-ring. Just as well I can say no, or my keyring would need wheels to tote it around if I'd bought all those little torches. Candles are much more dangerous, and you seem to have too many candles too close to each other in your gallery - and if that rather adorable little mouse knocks this one over - hope you have a fire blanket handy. I don't think chocolate would work quite as well as water for putting the fire out. It would surely stop the air from feeding the fire, but burnt chocolate - gack!!
ps - it really is an adorable mouse .

Great card and shading.
The mouse is too cute and looks awfully innocent (side note: this worries me ever since you told me that the tea parties could negatively turn a true innocent; by the way, thanks for your concern over Ginger's innocence which you can see from this week's card was entirely misplaced).
Ginger missed the light show but everyone at the hotel was talking about it - it must have been something! At least you had that candle so you weren't totally in the dark!
