I have always liked the look of burned edges. I have done it with fire, but there was more control doing it the faux way. Thanks Lynn for this technique challenge.
This look makes me think of something that was precious enough to reach into the fire to save. Other than photos of my kids, what would be something that I would save? I love music, so I thought of using a score of music as my burned image. This look also makes me think of adversity. I wanted to put an encouraging quote with it. I love this quote.
I stamped my butterfly twice and cut out one. I stamped a flourish for the butterfly trail. I wrapped it with twine and added a single rhinestone brad.
What do you think of my card?

As you know, I like my flourishes for stems, but I never thought of them for butterfly trails, that's really inspired. I like your music and sentiment - a good one to live by.
