My husband has just gone through the process of getting a boat – a two year process of looking. It is his dream. So I knew for Father's Day he needed to have something to do with his boat for his card.
I cropped and rotated the captain's chair picture I took, and printed it in sepia. I over stamped the image with a map, leaf grid and French script on the edges with Chocolate Ancient Page Ink. I used my palette knife to scratch the border and I rubbed in Tea Dye Distress Ink so the scrapes were no so starkly white. It was mounted on Kraft paper. I distressed the Kraft paper using my fingers and the palette knife, and then I applied Distress ink around the edges and a bit of Ancient Page Coal ink. A similar technique was used on the oval picture of the boat and it was raised up with Dimensionals. I am having such fun with the $10 label maker – it was so worth it!
Thanks for looking and I appreciate any comments!
