The routine is the same five days a week at my house. I like to get up and grab a protein bar and Diet Coke and create a card for the daily challenge. The kids have different plans however. They follow me from room to room and make noise and turn on TV's and ask me to play with them. They are 9 and 12 and still cannot give me a moment's peace.
Once I get a card finished I am fine and they can have me the rest of the day, but they do not seem to understand the summer routine yet. Plus we have been having thunderstorms everyday do they cannot go out and play.
Problems with North Korea don't compare to the pain and suffering in my household. (LOL)
My base color is Brocade Blue, an ugly color if I ever saw one. I was glad to put that piece of paper to use! I covered it with Brocade Blue, Ballet Blue and Whisper White...twice... to make the denim effect.

LOL, DH is like that card in the mornings. Great work with the denim look. 9 + 12 and they still haven't figured your morning routine!! Hope they tune into it before too long.

I love how your faux denim turned out. Mine turned out fairly dark. Like a fairly new pair of jeans. Yours is an awesome color, like a really loved pair. I hope your kids clue into the routine...good news, summer doesn't last forever!
