Watercolor! WOW this is a challenge. I am very intimidated when it comes to coloring in a stamped image - so I really wasn't even sure what to stamp. I don't own alot of stamps that lend themselves to lots of 'coloring'.
I ran across this unused 'what was I thinking?' large stamp. It is called Ginkgo II (wow...somewhere out there is actually a Ginko I????) It is by Stamps Happen, Inc. - a Nan Goss Studio design.
I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black. Used General's Kimberly Watercolor Pencils a make-up brush and water. Once it was colored in and dried I gave the entire image a coat of Ceramacoat by Delta Waterbase Satin Varnish. It gives it a slight crackle finish. Everything on the 5.25" x 3.75" stamp was watercolored - except for the narrow area with text.
Water color image adhered to black cardstock. SU! Hodgepodge Hardware embellishment added to upper left of watercolored image.
Base card is SU! Elegant Egglant - edges smudged with Distress Ink- Vintage Photo. Layer of BasicGrey Mellow Slack.
While this took hours and lots of dry time waiting - I really enjoyed the process and the challenge.

This is such a Wow card. I love every little thing that you've done with this card. The coloring, the collage effect, the hardware and the distressing. Well done and thanks for joining in our challenge.
