The CCEE challenge this week was a technique challenge - the Tri-Shutter card. That sounded good to me - things are always easier second time round when you have a better idea how to lay elements out on the card - NOT. I think it also counts as the LSC International flair, because while it looks elaborate, really there's only some chipboard and brads - that's only 2 official embellishments, and some punches??
But in the end I got there with this card for DH's birthday, which isn't for another couple of weeks. He liked the background I'd made for a card on Thursday, so I made up a whole sheet of that to use; stamped white card with Hero Arts Old French Script, sponged with Distress Ink Antique Linen, and then added Weathered with Vintage Photo. I cut panels to layer onto my cream Bazzill base, and then added more sponging to the edge of each panel.
The verse and birthday sentiment were computer generated, and for the verse I punched the corners and added little metal brads. For the panel over the sentiment I added 5 lines for a music stave, a time signature and a treble clef along with some punched notes.
The chipboard is Maya Road - the branches were sponged with Brilliance Chocolate. The bird is covered with paper stamped with a music score and sponged with blue ink. I just sponged his beak with a bit of gold. The tree leaves are punched from card also stamped with music and sponged with green.

This is beautiful. Great layout for your tri-shutter.
