This was the PERFECT challenge for me! Our daughter has been gone for 7 weeks for her college cross-cultural experience. She's primarily been in Germany, couple of days in Switzerland, and 1 1/2 weeks on the Greek island of Rhodos. She's coming home Sunday and I had wanted to make a 'Welcome home!' card for her. I used the CB with a floral EF border and added Kaiser pearls. I popped these great Verve flowers after cutting them out. I added Diamond stickles to the flower centers after I took the picture, so you'll just have to imagine the sparkle. :-) It's hard to see in the picture, but I stamped the sentiment panel using a flower stamp from Playful Petals in amethyst. I used my amateur calligraphy skills to make the sentiment. TFL!

It's a lovely card and I do hope that you don't mind if I tell you that "Willkommen" is written with two "l" in the middle? I am sure you could put in a nother 'l' between the "i" and the "l". The colours of the cards are great, I like the flowers!

Thanks for the correction, Nessie! Obviously I'm not German - ha! I looked it up online and this was supposed to be the correct spelling but guess that lady was wrong. :-(

Everything works together wonderfully on this - the embossing, the papers and those beautiful flowers.
I have to say that it's so long since I studied German that I had to use my spell-chekcer, but certainly suggested that two *l*s is right in Willkommen. So do the lyrics of the song from Cabaret. Bet you'll be glad to see your daughter back again after her travels.

Lovely, lovely card. Like the colors, the layout, and mostly the whole reason behind the card and your personal touch with the writing. Like the border punch done in black. Haven't seen that before. Terrific job. Into my favorites! TFS your creativity!
