What a fun and messy challenge for us Lynn!
All I had in paints was these primary colors.
For the bg I used blue, yellow, red paints and my Silver Encore pad.
I really think the metallic adds something to it; at least in my case.
I think everything is pretty much easy to figure out.

Nothing wrong with those primary colors, but don't forget that a little mixing will get some secondary colors, too!!! Love the bg you created and the boat image is colored so that it looks real!! Fantastic card!!
