Hi! This card was made for today's Ways To Use it Challenge: Crinkled Card Stock flowers.
I have to admit that Speedy the Cat got a BIG kick out of watching me mash up various shapes to make flowers. However, since I wanted to use this lemon topiary, I decided to punch out flower shapes and mash them to bits instead. This gave the symmetrical shape I wanted. I ended up using just 2 of the flower punches. It looks like more, because the paper SEPARATED as I was crushing it and "molding" it back into shape! Both of the flower shapes were sponged with Apricot Appeal BEFORE I started mashing and sanding them.
The image was stamped in Memento Cocoa and colored in with Copic markers. It was cut out and adhered with pop dots.

You have never made a card I didn't love (I've been stalking you for years!) but I especially love this one. I just started a batch of limoncello for Christmas gifts, and I have to have that stamp for the gift tags! I'm off to your blog to find out where I can get it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful artwork!

Yet again you show us a sample from Flourishes that is just gorgeous! Gotta love the lemon tree! I lived in CA for a while and had a friend whose apt was actually a home with rooms to rent. They had a lemon tree in the courtyard, and she could pick lemons any time she wanted! Now I have lots of extended family living in CA, so when I see this lemon tree, I think of them!
Did you notice that the bottom of the card has a tromp d'loeil (sp?) effect? The way you cut the border along with the leaf from the flower makes it look folded! Neat!!
All together a very pretty card with a wonderful saying!!
