Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
When I saw this stamp set I was transported back to the time when our sons, (both 23) were in 7th grade. They decided that my garden needed a Koi pond. Little did they know that it would take all summer for them to dig up the 8x8 area, line it with the rubber and plastic liners, figure out how to rig a water pump for the 3 water features they designed, and of course fill with stones, waterlilies and fish. I remember the pure energy the first week. Then, the disappointment of constant rain the second. They had to re-dig that pond 3 times before they even got the liners in place. But, by the summer's end, I had a FABULOUS Koi pond. What ever happened to those great 7th grade boys? Oh, that's right...the fumes.....Car fumes and perfumes....LOL!
The images were stamped in dark brown on white and colored in with Copic Markers. I added in highlights with an Inkssentials pen.

This is lovely Faith! Hmmm....You might have just made a convert to the Flourishes line of stamps!!!! Ha, like I really need more stamps! But this set is fabulous. And I really liked your story behind the creation. It's amazing to me that 7th grade boys could design and install a Koi pond! Wow!!

Love the card and love the story that goes along with it. Your work always makes me want to go make a card in my jammies! Your sense of color and shading and contrast really make things P O P.
