This card was made for CAS 18. The challenge was to complete a card using kraft, pinks/corals and an accent color. I played with the Frosted Filter technique. I gathered the coffee filter and wired it tight to make it look like a carnation. I then dipped it in the watered down reinker and set it aside to dry. When it was dry, I cut the "tail" off just below the wire so that it would sit flat on the card. It is attached with craft glue. I thought that would hold it better plus keep the filter flower from losing its shape. The layers are very simple and outlined with my Krylon gold leaf pen. The flourish was cut with my cricket and just highlighted with a glitter pen.

I love it! Not only is it a great idea, but I love pink and turquoise! Now I need to see if I have a coffee filter so I can go run down to my scrap room to this out!
