I have been busy scrapbooking over the past couple of months, I have been to 3 classes and thought I would do a page at each class and be happy with that - well, great in theory...but one night I got an idea....and then it became an addiction...My SU Demo was amazed to find that last month I did 5 pages.....these two are for this Scrapbooking Sketch Challenge....it is my first time doing this challenge so I hope I got it right.
These photos are a collection of my three children's first day at school.....I love the film strip idea as one of the things that made me hesitant about starting scrapbooking was the fact that if there was more than 1-2 photos on the page it never looked streamlined and I like to see more photos on some pages! I like it that I was able to get a number of photos on but kept it uncluttered!!
I am also determined to use stamping on my pages and have done the 'Emboss Resist' technique on these pages to follow through with the bird them theme that was already there....I am happy with the result! I have also done some highlighting on the flowers with Chalks to add some depth to them.
The sentiment was done on the computer, then inked and layered on navy CS.....so that it is for this double Sketch....I am hoping that I stayed sufficiently within the guidelines!!!
Thank you for looking and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on these pages!!!

Linda~ these are precious! I love their lil uniforms and the looks on their faces! (also liked the layout on your blog too!) The torn and distressed paper looks great under the film strip. Great way to add many pictures and remain clutter free. Love it!

Very cute, I like the filmstrip of pictures. It is the wonder years alright, we wonder where they went so fast. Oh, How I need to get back to my scrapbooking.

Linda, you are definitely a "natural" at the scrapbooking my friend. I was doing the weekly sketch challenges, but have fallen behind for the time being. I LOVE doing them and it helps me get some pages done!! I LOVE everything you did with this layout - the filmstrip effect, the colors, the photos, the title, birds. It's all A#1. Can't wait to see more!!! TFS!

I love your colors Linda...of course there is blue, yes, but just look at the beautidul embellishments, you added. The birds are so lovely, and the lettering. I remember you talking about it on the phone last time, but I couldn't imagine something so beautiful. Great work, when it comes to our kids, who couldn't be inspired right, with such sweet and loving faces. TFS my friend.
