Had to make a second card for Cindy's tea-party today, I found it very inspiring. I used the great sketch from the CCEE blog and it all came together.
I got In the Wild on eBay last week - mostly for an ATC swap, but only because I also liked the stamps other than the one I needed. I'm not an impulse buyer. So having thought zebra when I saw the teapot earlier, I've given my new zebra an airing. He sure should feel at home in the heat.
It's a 5 3/4 " square base, and all the papers except the scrap of red are from Clairefontaine. The orange and gold is the same pattern as the black and white on my first card. I used the 2 largest ovals to cut the frames from the orange and green papers, and behind that I stamped the zebra with Rangers Archival Black on some old photo paper for a glossy look. Added some green strips cut with a pinking scissors and embossed with Swiss Dots, and punched flowers. Added a little sentiment on the bottom flower, and black Stickles dots to finish. DH likes it except for the zebra who is missing two legs. He didn't like the cheetah either because it doesn't have a mouth or an eye...but I still like them.
Still no snakes. It's true, there aren't any native snakes in Ireland, only pet ones. But my flute is fixed, so I can bring it along to play charming music to Kelly's snake and any other ones that arrive.

Sabrina, I love where your inspiration took you from Cindy's teapot. This is really cool. I understand that you are also entertaining by playing the music for the belly dancers with your flute? Is that correct? And what's this about charming a snake? Does Shirley have her facts right?

I think I have a new favorite flower! Zebra posies! I love yours on your card! How fun that you were inspired to do another card. Man, you can get back and forth to the teapary from Ireland quickly. You better be careful not to get a speeding ticket on your way to and from our you will be dealing with another kind of black and white!
Sabrina, I am loving the sound of your flute. Its especially nice with funky tunes the belly dancin' instructor brought! Whew, was serviced just in time!
Love your first card and I love your second card even if your zebra is a little lopsided to one side with only two legs!!!

Two-legged dancing zebras, snakes and charmers, and bowling-pin bottomed kitties oh my! I feel like we are at a sideshow at the circus, hee! But I guess that is a popular sentiment on Teapot Tuesdays!! This card is gorgeous! Love the subtle zebra background and in the flowers and the pops of colors. I think this zebra has 4 legs, but he is doing super side kicks which make them very hard to see at this angle...he's really getting his belly dance ON!
