I'm going to visit my sister and wanted to make her a framed thing. I cannot tell you how many iterations of this item took place over the last two days, but something just wasn't working. Finally I saw the Mojo Monday sketch for today and everything clicked!
I made the "quilt" using the top note quilt technique, I just used the Nestie label one with one inch squares instead. After cutting & embossing, I machine sewed all the "seams." The sentiment & family name were printed using word with Scriptina and Century Gothic fonts. The "quilt" is raised up on 1/8 popdots, and then name circle is raised up on 1/16 popdots, sneaking in between the quilt and red mat. The punched heart is raised on 1/16 popdots as well.
My sister just better love it!!

Oh, this is a gorgeous "quilt" and is made with one of my favorite SU designer papers. Lovely fonts used for the family name and sentiment. I am quite sure your sister will love it. I do!!!

This is so incredibly gorgeous! My mother is an avid quilter and I would love to try this technique. I appreciate your detailed explanation of this beautiful creation and I know your sister will truly love it!
