Although I love sketch challenges, I think I've been relying on them too much, and it's beginning to stifle my own ability to create sketches, so I've been looking for inspiration through color challenges more often as well as any other non-sketch challenge. I found this color challenge which was posted on May 23rd. It was to use Raspberry (Pink Passion here), Celery and Artichoke. On May 25th, the blogger posted a card with a beautiful yellow 3-D flower. Between that card and her color challenge I came up with this card. The aforementioned blog may be found here: http://dawnmcvey.typepad.com/ This is also for Stampin' B's Challenge #8 which is hosted this week by NANCYRUTH. Her challenge was to use a flower on a card, and I did! Thanks so much for taking a peek!!!

Beautiful flower and dew. I like the ribbon with it too.
I know what you mean about the sketch challenges. I almost feel lost without them, but when I force myself to make a card without them, I survive! All the challenges have sure helped me get to be a better stamper and more creative!

CarrollAnn, I missed this one when you uploaded. My goodness, this is GORGEOUS. That flower is fantastic and with those colors, looks great! I know what you mean about sketch challenges and sometimes just doing your own thing. You really did it and did it well with this one!! Great job! TFS!
