This card was inspired by a series of bookcovers. In my infinite wisdom, I closed the browser window that contained this series of books. And I am coo coo crazy with myself right now. For some reason, the site will not come up in my history, either. Grrr... I decided, as it is 2 AM, that I need to just move on and post this. (See link below! In the morning light, I found them!)
This is my husband's Father's Day card. I bought Totally Tools knowing how perfectly it fit him. I was happy to finally use the stamps.
The book covers I found had some cool elements. They were a series of three books and they had that monochrimatic theme going on... one hue darker than the major hue. I thought the reds together were interesting, so I chose them. Each book cover had words in white and yellow, as I have structured mine. Then, they had a white pencil drawn figure in the bottom right. So, I went with their basic design. They were books about management and workplace issues.
Anyway, this is also my submission for IC182. UPDATE! I found the covers!! Woo hoo!!
Since I seemed to have lost my specs in the editing, please check out my blog for the deets.

Love the fabulous effect of 'priming' and then coloring those letters ... and the tape measure in white-on-red is wonderful too ... fantastic inspired card.
