This technique is a double pleasure for me Â… first I quilt (or used to) and Top Note is one of my favorite Sizzix Die Cuts Â… so when I saw these faux quilt cards I knew I had to make one.
This is another card I will be sending my niece. Cathy is 42 and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. She finished her Chemo a few weeks ago and on June 1st she has surgery (double mastectomy and hysterectomy). Several SCStampers have sent her cards and they brighten her day. She called me the other day and didnÂ’t know what she had done to be so blessed to have people who donÂ’t know her care about her and take time out of their day to send her thoughts, prayers, and cards.
Found two great instructions/tutorials on how to make these cards Â… here are the links:
DH bought me the Pixie sewing machine and this is the first time I used it! Love the stiched look. Stamped the sentiment in Brilliant Blue and sponged the edges of the quilt with Ballet Blue. TFL!

The colors on this card are amazing! I love the quilted look that you've done here - definitely inspires me to get my new little Sew Mini out and try it myself!
