eta - wonderful what a bit of external flash will do. Now that shy little mouse has come out of hiding.
This is my card for Cindy's 48th tea-party. Gonna be some celebration in 4 weeks when it's a year old!!!
I picked out a whole load of gingerbread and baking embellishments yesterday morning - baking trays, bowls, spoons, oven gloves, spatulas - but the card went its own way. I'm looking in that window with the green curtains, and instead of muffins I did have little gingerbread people sitting on the window sill, but the mouse isn't a good scarecrow and some of those birds still hanging around from last week came along and ate them all up...
Sorry the mouse isn't showing - there's no flash so I don't know why his pearly coat has flared so much. I'll try for a better picture after work.
The base is A2 Bazzill, ornamented with flowers and leaves in the same card. A bit like decorating a fancy pie, really . The window is Art Impressions, stamped once onto Bazzill and once onto the same card as the curtains, which I then swiped with blue ink to get the verdigris colour of the tiles. I cut out the windows, sutck some curtains and general folksy wallpaper paper behind. The mouse is a little punch art fellow who's been lurking on my desk since before we moved house, so I don't remember all the details of sizes, but it's a circle for his body, heart for his face, circles for his ears and nose and a curl for his tail. Being very agile, he's swinging down from the window.
Got to go to work - be back to look at the rest of the tea-party cards later...

When the tea pot partiers showed up all of the mice in the bakery witnessed them standing up to Maurice they got brave and decided to stand up to Maurice themselves. This little guy has always wanted to be a monkey in his heart, to swing from the lighting fixtures, bakery racks, and backside windows. Life is good since the tea partiers arrived!
OMG! Sabrina what a fun and creative card! I love your thought process here! Sorry about the mess Teapot Tuesday created in your stamp room. I can just see all the baking utinsels laying everywhere but I say its worth the clean up to have inspired this fun card! I love it.
See you after work. Hope you have a good day! Thanks for always coming, the link and your creativity!

I was getting worried you couldn't come to the tea party this week. Love the little mouse although he does look like he might be a bit of a troublemaker. Your window, with it's curtains and wallpaper, is very creative. Darn birds!

delightful card, I love the window and that cute punched mouse! Your back door window reminds me of what we call 'back door friends', I'll bet that's the world over...good neighbors who open the door and call out, "l'm here for a spot of tea!" nice to see you at the tea party, Sabrina. The kettle's on and there plenty of earl gray.

Hello there Sabrina from Dublin. Your little mouse is sooooooooo cute and adorable. What a clever punch critter. I love how he is swinging by his tail. Great window. I just love its shape and colors and your flower cut out embellies on the card are so perfect. After all your work on this card and long day at work you deserve some cake and I have plenty.

I LURVE this mouse, and I am typically not a fan of rodents! Looks like he dipped into some Rum Cake they way he is swinging from the window! I love the sweet curtains...they jumped out at me, too, when I saw the teapot! And the lovely foliage (poor mouse, he is seeing TRIPLE of that right about now when there is really only ONE on your card to the naked, sober eye, hee!)
