It is Friday again and that means it is time for another challenge from Dare U 2 Digi Stamp. This weekÂ’s theme is: One for the boys/men. A real challenge for most people and certainly for me! I really love all the cute stamps and glitter, ribbons and pink. All kinds of stuff that you most of the time canÂ’t use very well on a card for a boy or men. The timing of this challenge was perfect! My brotherÂ’s birthday is in a couple of weeks and now I already have a card for him! ;) This meerkat was perfect for his card, because he looks just like my brother: Always a smile and big friendly eyes. The meerkat is one of the fantastic digi stamps from my teammate Sandra Dry: Please take a look at her wonderful blog with digi stamps, she has been really busy with drawing some new images and she will post them soon! This time I used a red card as my base and I used some real scrap paper on my card! Unfortunately I donÂ’t know what paper it is. The blue strip is the backside from a jeans scrap paper that I actually wanted to use, but when it was lying on my card, it didnÂ’t look good, so I used the dark blue back. I colored the meerkat with koh-i-noor pencils. The eyes were colored with a black glaze pen. I did some faux stitching on the edges of the image. The image was mounted on a strip of red paper that I folded double. When you lift the image, the sentiment will become visible. I used my quickutz to cut two buttons out of the red paper and added a thread to them. I used foam tape to mount them on my card.
