Hi ladies. Kris asked what we are having today for treats, well I have cake I just took out of my freezer from last week. I was ill and couldn't stay so Cindy (sweetie as she is) sent me home with some cake to freeze until I was better. Well today is that day. I'm here to share. I know, very nice of me.
No birds here, but where there are BIRDHOUSES there are bound to be birds nearby. And by the looks of these colorful houses there are bound to be some tropical funky birds. So keep out an eye.
These bird houses are very simple to make. I punched two 1 1/4" squares for each house. One is the base, the other I cut in half diagonally for the roof. Then I cut a 1/8" strip for the base that slightly overlaps the sides. Then punched a 3/8 hole in the center and set a 3/8" eyelet. I also ran all the edges along a black stamp pad. Simple simple. Now that is so creative. I've used squares and triangles for houses before, but the addition of the eyelets to turn them into birdhouses - that's genius. And you're right, they are so colourful that they are bound to attract some tourist birds.

Okay, this card is awesome! I love the happiness of it! It is precious! Your paper birdhouse with eyelet openings is so creative! What a fun card. Its so cool always to see what direction the teapot takes us tea partiers!
Me thinks the birdies have temporarily flew the coop. Probably they were spooked off by the raptors I had to hire to keep the girls in line, they make great chaperones!
Thanks for coming again! I am so happy that you are feeling better and up for cake now! And how nice of you to share, just keep it out of site when the raptors do their fly by....they like cake, actually, they like most anything! Snort!

Oh my goodness Lisa this is awesome. I love the way you layered the houses. It gives your card such great dimension. Really creative and fun way to come to this party. The eyelets for the holes and the sweet heart is perfect. Great job girlfriend. I am feeling much better...hugs.

I think you are going to have a waiting list of birds wanting to move into this housing development. Delightful and creative! Nice of you to share your cake as the dessert list seems to be a little wanting this week.

Lisa, this is a fabulous card. I love your little bird houses. How creative to use the little brads for the doors. I love the papers that you used. Thanks for sharing how you made them. Definitely going into my favorites.
