This card features a technique that I call Shabby Chic Flowers, created using the Circles #2 sizzix die and double sided patterned papers. The pp is K&Company Classic K McKenna paper pack and the verse is an old, retired, but favorite Mother's Day stamp from SU.

I love anything shabby chic, and this card is no exception! Love the flowers--I've made them, too, and love to use them on cards. I heard them called various things, but I like to call them "yo-yo" flowers--they remind me of old yo-yo quilts!

I made the shabby chic flowers using the Circles #2 die and Big Kick. I manipulated the edges using my fingers to tear and distress the edges, but you can use the Making Memories distress tools if you have no fingernails. (LOL) I made this to coordinate with some projects I designed for Glue Arts DT. Soon there will be a video demo on www.gluearts.com showing how to do this for a matching vintage floral trinket box and a scrapbook layout of my mom. I just shot the videos in April so they are still editing ;D Thanks for the nice comment! You can check out my blog for my of my stuff. The layout and box are in my May posts.
