 | | I seem to be needing too many sympathy cards right now, my supply is back to zero :-(.
When I saw the sketch this morning, and saw how Dawn had stamped the left side on her original, I knew it would be a good sketch to have another go with the bandana technique from Monday's TLC. ( I want to spell it bandana, and Lynn says both are OK, but my spell-check only likes bandanna).
All the papers are Sizzix Little Sizzles - Earth Tones.
There is a base layer of dark green. The next layer is brown, stamped with the flowers and stars from Pretty Amazing in ColorBox Chalk Dark Brown. I also added some leaves from Trees Three. Details were added with a white gel pen.
The right-hand panel is some patterned paper from the pad, then more of the dark green, and then a light brown stamped with an image from the new Penny Black Allegro set. I ticket-corner punched the two right hand corners, and added little green brads. I couldn't help adding a little ribbon tab, too, as the Martha Stewart ribbon that Mothermark sent me went well with the papers and design. The sentiment is from Woodware, stamped with brown, cut into a 1/2" strip and with the end rounded with a circle punch. Added another brad, and that's it.
IRL the ribbon does match better, I promise. But it just started raining when I was taking the photo. No complaints -I'd be out watering the garden this evening if we hadn't had any rain today. |
