The Flourishes Release challenge for May was to make a his and hers version of the same card. I try to use Flourishes stamps when I can, but I also like to make cards I need or will definitely use, so it was a good chance to make a baby card. My brother and his wife are expecting a baby next week, and they don't know what it is - so now I am prepared either way. I didn't have particularly suitable stamps, but I did use the gorgeous silk ribbons that I got from Flourishes a couple of weeks back .
The bases are 5 3/4" square, embossed with the largest Labels 1 Nestabilities, and with the wording stamped round the right-hand corner. The images are from a ProvoCraft baby set, stamped onto Basic Grey Two Scoops, and cut with Labels 1. The boy pram is stamped with Versafine Black, and the girl one with StazOn Stone Grey for a slightly softer look. The edges of the panels were sponged with the same ink as they were stamped, and layered up on thin foam tape onto another patterned panel. Apart from that, it was just a case of adding the bows and a single Dew Drop to each. I could do with ironing the tail of the blue bow next time I have the iron out, I see.
