This was my Mother's Day card for my MIL. The colors I used came from the dp I stamped the blocks on, but it turns out they're also the colors of the very first quilt my MIL ever made! How's that for luck? It gave added meaning to the card for both my MIL and my DH who remembers her working on that quilt.
I used a piece of plastic canvas -- the kind people sew on with yarn and that cost about 50 cents -- as my guide for piercing the holes for the faux stitching.

Oh this is gorgeous! Your MIL will treasure you! I used to quilt, and this gives me such a warm feeling. The lace and buttons make this look so comfy! Beautiful work!

This is wonderful!! I love the colors too and how fortunate that they have a special meaning . And... I was certain that was actual stitching, too ~ well done!!
