When I was looking through May holidays this morning, this was one I found. Now, in spite of having one guitar in my craft room, one in the sitting room and one in a friend's house, DH was hoping to look at another one on our way back from Kerry last weekend, but it didn't work out, so it's kind of current. This image makes me think of my mother - she couldn't play violin after she broke her shoulder in a riding accident, so I never knew her play anything but piano, but when she was studying in the Sorbonne in Paris, she used to play in a chamber orchestra. Thank you, Stamp Muse, for sending me this image which I really love.
My base is 5 3/4" square cream card, with the edges sponged with Vintage Photo and Antique Linen. In two opposite corners I stamped some flourishes with Vintage Photo. The other corners are squares of DCVW Old World paper, embossed with the Script folder and sponged with Vintage Photo. The music is some old sheet music from my grandmother. I don't find it easy to re-use books or music, but this was something I never have played and am never likely to...I crumpled it up and sponged it with a bit of the Antique Linen. The image layer was a RAK, so I don't know the paper or the ink. I coloured it with Couleur d'Art pencils. The dragonfly and butterfly have clear Sakura Stardust on them, before I added Glossy Accents to both them and the flowers. Distressed and sponged the edges. Then I added two Primas, with a Build-a-Brad and some of the music, and 3 little scraps of slightly heated gold organza ribbon. IRL the colours are a bit softer and more golden, but I just can't get the photo right.

Sabrina, what a great card. I love the colors and layout. What I noticed first was the distressed sheet music layer. This holiday could pass my family by. My family already plays, trumpet, flute, piccolo, french horn, drums, saxophone, baritone, tuba, keyboard, guitar and cello. Just the other day I was asked if I would buy an electric bass, and my flute/piccolo player wants to play bass drum this fall for marching band. Where do you draw the line?...
