Door County Rubber Stamps has just introduced a new line of wedding stamps. We finished pressing and mounting rubber last week, and I'm working on samples to display in the store, at home, as I have time. This is one of them. There will be more samples posted as I have time to get them made.
I stamped the image on white cs. I sponged on chalk for the candle glow and blue background, then went back with a white eraser to remove chalk from inside my image.
The bride, groom and candle are colored with pencils. I stamped the image a 2nd time onto vellum and cut out just the veil. I turned the veil face down on my foam pad and used my paper shaper to round it out.
I used a glue pen to add glue in 3 spots at the edge of the veil then layed it over the colored image. I used flower soft on the head piece, and sprinkled glitter into the flower soft while the glue was still wet to add a touch of sparkle to the head piece. I also added just a teensy dab of yellow glitter to the candle flame.
I used a fine point silver pen for her necklace and earing.
I used an embossing pen on the lines in the veil and embossed with White Pearls.
Below the groom I stamped Mr. and Mrs. with versa mark and embossed with white pearls. I wanted to keep it subtle so as not to draw too much attention from the bride and groom.
I layered pink and dark blue cardstock behind the image. Used sticky dots to attach narrow white ribbon, then added flower soft to look like flowers are holding the ribbon up.
