I put together a necklace and necklace holder/frame. The necklace is threaded through eyelets on the front, so the rest of the chain is hidden on the back. Two brads slip through the links on the chain and hold it in place on the frame. (There's a shot of the back on my blog.) The necklace is removable (by undoing the brads), revealing, underneath, a little keepsake frame for mom.
To make the frame holder, I took a chipboard coaster I had and covered it with designer paper. I then inserted eyelets in each of the four corners. I handmade another frame in the same method as I did for the gift box/bag and attached it to the frame. Then I cut out the flower portions of the MFT image that I stamped on designer paper and adhered it in a random design on the frame font. I covered the flowers with Glossy Accents and attached the silver plaque to the middle using pop dots. Then I threaded the necklace through the eyelets and held it in place with removable brads.
Supplies:
Stamps: MFT's Happy Mother's Day
Papers: all DP by Crate Paper (LOVE this new line!)
Inks: Memento Black, Colorbox Cyan, Green
Accessories: unfinished wooden trim, acrylic paint, pop dots, Glossy Accents, mother silver plaque by Making Memories, chipboard coaster, silver eyelets by Making Memories, silver frame charm, silver chain
I hope that you enjoy this and that you'll consider voting for me this week! The vote starts at 10pm EST tonight (April 2 in the MFT forum and continues for 24 hours.
