I made this card for today's sketch, and yes there are four panels, 2 long and 2 short behind the frame. I also made it for the stampinb's challenge to use a die cut. I also made it for the joy of creating. These are not colors I would typically choose, one look at my gallery would tell you that. I got the frame in a scrapbook pack that I got at my grocery store. Yep I said grocery store. Apparently people don't buy their supplies at the grocery store. These packets had been there for a long time. They were finally in the clearance isle for $.50. Well for $.50 I thought there was something I could use out of the pack. I liked this little frame, but I wanted to use it for today's sketch, so I altered it by cutting all the way across and layering the two halves. I was going to quill one flower to cover up one of the seams and then got carried away and quilled flowers for the whole frame. It took me probably 2 1/2 hours, but I loved every min of it. The frame is popped up on dimensionals.
What do you think?

Yowsers! Don't think I have ever seen anything like this in my grocery store. It is a beautiful frame and your card is awesome. I believe you for sure when you say how long it took to quill those roses. Never tried it, but for some reason I have always thought it would hurt your fingers. If so, you have made a great sacrifice for this beautiful card.

MariLynn, Your card is exquisite! Great idea of altering the size of frame for your card. Wonderful find at the grocery store, I just love finding treasures in the most unexpected places, I guess that's why I love going to gargage sales. I would have never thought of covering the existing flowers with quilled flowers. Great idea and great job of quilling. Keep up the good work and TFS

I don't know how I missed this the other day, MariLynn. I know they're not your normal colours but it's simply beautiful - I love how you've embellished the frame with the quilling. (Thank you for those lovely quilled violets which made it all the way here in perfect condition ). I think this would be so lovely as a frame for a little photo. I really like the contrast between the hot flower colours and the dp for the background.
