This card is for the His Holy Name Challenge where we are studying the attributes of God. this one is LAMB. This is the card that I have found hardest to make...something about a lamb makes you want to make it cute and cuddly, but that is not applicable in this case!
I like to use a lot of symbolism on these cards and I guess that is what made it harder to bring it all together...but I have to say it is amazing what a few brads can do to tie it all in....
I chose this scripture as it has really impacted (and challenged) me time and time again and is the first one that comes to mind when I think of LAMB...I included the cross as it is pivotal as well, so often we are in wonder at the power of the cross but forget that the power is actually in the blood that was shed, the blood of the Lamb!!!
I am so conscious of the fact that in this day and age that we are all going through 'stuff' in our lives, battling with one thing or another and I am so encouraged by these words in Revelation....we are saved by the blood of the Lamb....'the word of their testimony'...can sometimes be the harder fact to deal with. We tend to think that our testimony is all about the time we came to know God, our 'salvation' experience, but in reality our testimony is an ongoing thing and today we have a testimony that is relevant today...it should always be progressive....then to add 'coals to the fire' the Word of God' tells us to always be ready with an account of the faith that is within us.....I am challenged daily to have a tesimony ready and know the times that I have stepped out and shared it, just in everyday conversation at the right time...God blesses me and I am encouraged!!!
A number of the elements of this card are from RAK's from two of my Twisted Sisters, the Lamb from the lovely Pat Smethers and the Cross from our very own Lesley (aka Marleygo) Thank you girls for 'linking arms' in this craft and our faith. The fabulous Die is from my QLD friend Wattle and the gorgeous flocked lettering from another QLD friend Krafty Kylie - thank you girls...you are all so good to me! Oh yes....the scripture is handwritten - Patter...you are having an effect on me- still not my first preference, but I am warming to it - LOL!!!
Thank you for looking at this card and for your comments, I do apologise for rambling in my description but I like to share the 'process' with these scripture cards!! God bless you!

Wow, what a powerful work of art! I am amazed every time I look at your creations. What an awesome verse you have chosen for Lamb. I really like that you changed the ink color for different words in the verse and I love reading your description and the process you've gone through to create your cards - it's very encouraging to me and I'm sure to others as well. Please don't stop those ramblings as you call them. :-) God bless.

thank you for your inspiring comments - I'm usually rushing through things like that to move on to the comment - but made myself stop and read - I think that is part of this challenge - to learn from each other - so thank you!!
I love your card - the images and wonderful braided ribbon - it illustrates your verse wonderfully!
