I tried to make my own gesso and it did not really come out, so I went to the craft store to buy some. They did not carry it :( So I bought some all purpose Sealer thinking it would kind of do the same thing.. after many tries with all different papers and pictures..I finally just went for it and made a card. I stamped solid butterflies on the picture and then shaded it with some dark inks. I could not get a good picture of the butterflies, but you can kind of see the images. I think it came out ok..what do you think? I have ordered some Gesso off ebay I will give it another go and do it RIGHT when I get the right stuff. Thanks for letting me play. I loved the challenge of trying out a New Technique.
Thanks for looking...

Beautiful. I love that lacey border around the circle and the butterfly is gorgeous.

This is beautiful...such a love ephemeral look. The back ground on your technique is stunning. I agree with Ruby...you get a A+ for all of your Gesso hunting efforts. You did a fantastic job with improvising. Thanks for playing along with the challenge.
