Okay, I couldn't submit a challenge for today's Technique Lovers Challenge TLC217 because I don't have Gesso ... I don't have white glue to make homemade gesso ... and I don't have a magazine ... BUT, I did something similar.
I stamped 2 script stamps collage style in versafine onyx and then stamped the butterfly and flourish with versamark then used clear embossing powder and heat set it. The ep picked up on the words, so they're embossed also.
I then took Kiwi and Baja ink pads and sponged sporadically over image. This was matted on Old Olive then popped up on dimensionals. The base is olive with unk DP that is bayou/NQN in color, so I added the bayou ribbon and threaded it through a horizontal slit punched on the image panel and tied a knot.
I finished by adding a sentiment stamped in bayou on white, matted in NQN circles.
Trying to use my newer SU sets. What do you think?
Thanks for looking!
