This is my directions of a larger post-it note holder cased from Splitcoastweekly #135 week of April 8th from the smaller version. If you go to my gallery I also have pictures of the smaller ones.
Here is the directions for this size: 6X4 post-it:
cut one 10 1/2" x 6 1/2" cardstock, score @ 5" in from both sides. This will leave a 1/2" fold in the middle for your spine; three pieces of cs 4 5/8" x 6 1/4" for matting; three pieces of dsp 4 1/8" x 5 3/4".
On the left one, Old Olive, I used Main Blueberry DSP and in the center of some of the flowers I put green glass micro beads. I used the flower burst sizzix embosslit as a 3-D flower and sanded them. Then I tied them with jute threw the buttons to hold in place, no glue. I also applied three small buttons to the spine with a short saying "Wish You A Great Day".
The turquoise one on the right is done using Flock Together DSP and I applied clear micro beads to some of the birds. On the main turquoise cardstock of the book I ran it through my big shot using a background embossing plate to give it some dimention then thumped the edged in black. You cannot see the embossing much on the front but on the back side it looks great. I also applied an extra piece of black cs to the spine on the outside, stamped "explore" and added three brads, to match the front. The front says "believe, truth, hope"

I totally love these colors Kathaleen!! I just saw that Flowerburst Embosslit at Saturday's meeting and love it (picture doesn't do justice in catty) -- I will be getting it for sure. I agree, I like the larger style better (now I have 3 different sizes to make these -- another nice gift idea!!). tyfs
