This birthday card was made for a friend who is totally blind. I knew her mother would describe it to her, no matter what I made. However, I wanted to make her a card that was all about texture. I didn't worry about color or design as much as I thought about using different textures. My friend is a dog lover and has two small dogs besides her service dog. So, I started with the Bow Wow set. I knew right away that I would emboss the dog and so forth. The dog has been cut out and raised up with Stampin Dimensionals. For the dog dish, I couldn't help but to use a little blue color and then I put Crystal Effects inside the dish. It looks like a water dish and feels good. The metal tag also feels pretty neat. Very smooth. All the dog accessories are lined up on a strip of crimper cardstock. At the bottom is some mulberry paper and flower trim found among my mom's sewing supplies from many years ago. This is the most challenging card I've ever made. One for the touch and to be felt rather than seen. However, I imagine it will be seen with the heart.
