My daughter will be a flower girl for a cousin's wedding in May. The bride's mother mailed me her dress and it arrived today! As timing is sometimes so perfect it's poetic, I also saw a gorgeous card on Sharon Field's blog (http://createdbyu.blogspot.com) using the Manhattan Flower embossing folder to make a dress. It looks just like my daughter's flower girl dress! I had to make a card to send to the bride! It seems a little brown to me, but I think the bridesmaids gowns are brown and the bride's dress may match too....not sure....so the brown fits this occasion, but the colors could easily be changed.
The dress is made from the Manhattan Flower embossing folder and very vanilla cs. Part of the flower is cut away and ribbon is tied around the bodice. Sharon's was done with vellum cardstock, which I will be ordering soon....; )~
The close to cocoa and very vanilla pieces are embossed with the SU textures plates.
This was fun to make! The sketch today was perfect for this little dress! My only regret is that I didn't think of it before Sharon!!! TFL!
