Ok, so I ended up doing an all nighter again. It's not like waiting until the last minute to do a card for our Pastor of our church. I misplaced the cross images that Marlygo sent me, believe me I looked everywhere. Anyhow, when I completed my card, I looked through the Featured Stamper gallery for a similar layout. "Inge" card is here: Nuts by **Inge** at Splitcoaststampers. I actually cased my own card but changed a few things. It also fits the FS.
This card has quite a few techniques involved, so bare with me. I wanted to use the inspiration piece that we got in our service last week for our service this week.
1st part: I started out with dark gray c/s and light gray c/s and used the cm oval cutting system for the cut outs. I used the cb textile emboss folder on the dark gray. I added versamark ink pad to the whole dk gray c/s and embossed it using clear emboss powder. The inner oval is actually gray, but when I went to attach the 2 oval cut outs together...tacky tape was sticking out..fixed it by applying glitter. oops! I stamped the cross onto white c/s with black ink and measure the white to fit the second layer for the card. The next thing I did was take a piece of that plastic packaging that tacky strip comes from and cut it into a square with my kraft knife. I adhered to protect the cross. You can't really tell in the picture though.
2nd part: The roses and leaves have 3 techniques. I stamping with the victorian rose stamp (you can view the image here from another card from my gallery:FS101 LSC202 The Cursed Heart by okstamper at Splitcoaststampers) onto black bazzill c/s with versamark ink. I used black emboss powder and heat set. I used my bleach pen to make the color wash out. Once dry (lasted 2 seconds), I colored the roses in maroon and red with sharpies. Cut out. I used regular black c/s without the textured lines in it to stamp more roses. I did the same emboss technique as with the maroon/red roses. The white roses I colored using the prismacolor white pencil. Used clear emboss powder to heat set and cut out. All the roses are mounted with foam tape with tacky strip (don't want them to come off). I used the cb leafy branch on black c/s and colored them using a white colored pencil. Heat embossed with clear powder. Cut out.
3rd part: I used the computer for the sentiment and used the oval punch. Adhered. I added ribbon, cording, and a cross charm. Adhered to the base of the card. All this completes my card. Thanks for looking and have a very Happy Easter. Your comments are always appreciated.
What do you think?
Things I changed:
changed image, used no c/s layers, bleached flowers, and flipped the card. Other wise, we got the sentiment tag, flowers, and the oval.
Sorry for the long post.
Bonnie
*I want to take this time for those of you who have made comments on this card I made for my Pastor. When I gave it him this morning, he was beside himself...really excited and had tears of happiness and sadness too, but a big WOW! From the look on his face when he opened the card, his mouth dropped. OMG! He'll said he'll always cherish this card. He loved it and was really impressed by the inspiration brochure and from the service today. I just love our Pastor.
Thanks again ladies!

The very first thought to come into my head when I saw this beautiful card, was "Above All" by Michael W. Smith. What a lot of work you put into this card for your Pastor. This is an awesome card.
May God bless you on this Easter Sunday.

Beautiful - and thank you so much for sharing all the details! I love all of your roses - and cutting out the leaves from your CB folder is true inspiration!
