This time I used the painting in the Paxton outdoor furniture collection as inspiration. I started with something so different that the vintage feel of this card surprised me! Well, I guess that's another thing I like about cardmaking.
This pretty faced lady was sitting on my craft table while I was working and sort of calling me. So I'm happy I found a place for her in my card, meaning my focal point...duh! (I'm slow...) It's a gift from M (stampmuse) I got in the mail this week. I am spoiled or blessed, whichever I'm still happy she thought of me when she saw this stamp. It's from Great Impressions, for those who want one. Just teasing. LOL
The frame is from Terri, she probably won't recognize it, because I stamped vintage photo distress ink on it any which way and then added blobs of stickles and let it dry! The idea comes basically from the man himself Tim Holtz:
My version of it is very minimal. Check it out though, he's good.
I wanted the card to look like someone left a picture of a loved one on a desk with a piece of paper under, mind you it wouldn't have the beautiful swirls, Anne Ryan sent on it, but for the sake of art I had to add those, I distressed the lined dp also, and added a flower Lim sent me. WOW, I'm realiszing this is a "joint" creation. Thanks everybody for your bits and pieces of love!
Thanks for looking and do enjoy

Minimal? Not. C'mon girl, there's no way this card is minimalist no matter how i turn it...upside down, right side up. You've added such interest with the colored frame and sweet image. Your flourishes are the perfect touch if I say so myself. Your dp really reminds me of beadboard - you probably have another name for it in Quebec, but that's what we call it here. Now go look that one up! I dont know the french translation. Sorry. Great card, PIC.
