Ok, my night didn't go as planned. I was one of the early birds to see the challenge come out. Did I make it last night...no! I just finished it. Does anyone else have this problem?
Here is the story:
I just bought this Luv Bug dp and I wanted to use it for the sketch challenge. I tried different images and finally settled on the Fluffles. My card is 1/8 shorter than the original A2 size because I am out of brown c/s and this is the only piece I had left. I used the cb swiss emboss folder for the 2 panels. Adhered to c/s. The next part is where I had the most trouble. I couldn't get the image with the square just right in the left top corner. I used a mini square punch on the white c/s. Looked liked a window before I stamped "friends" with brown ink onto pink c/s and centered. Added 3 self stick pearls. I made my own frame around the window. Adhered from the back side. I stamped Fluffles with black ink onto white c/s. I then colored it using prismacolor pencils, odorless mineral spirits, and blending stumps. I also added glitter to the flowers and the body of the butterfly. I used the mini corner punch to the corner on the image and used a mini flower punch. I also used a hole punch for the center. I added 2 pearls to the centers of the flowers. The image is held on with foam tape. I also added one butterfly with white dots to the right corner. I felt like it needed something else on the bottom, so I stamped "forever" with blown ink, adhered to c/s, and mounted. I used the signo white pen for all outer edges to make the dots appear white. I added the ribbon to complete the look. Thanks for having the challenge, but I really had trouble with it. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
What do you think?
I think I better lay down after the kids get off to school. I can't stay awake at the computer. It is 6:32am.
