This is the card I created for the My Favorite Things Idol Top 7 competition this week. Our challenge was to create a card that uses the Build A Bouquet, that was sent to us by Kim. Thanks so much, Kim!
This card was made by brayering SeaShells Cloudy Blue and Adirondack Sailboat Blue dye inks onto Georgia Pacific cardstock. The panel was also sponged with Adirondack Sailboat Blue, Adirondack Denim, Adirondack Lettuce, Adirondack Willow, and Marvy brown dye inks.
Portions of the flower images of this set were inked with Versamark Watermark ink and then immediately with Marvy Brilliant Yellow and Marvy Cherry dye inks. These stamped images were then heat embossed using clear embossing powder. The same process was repeated for the flower stems using Adirondack Lettuce and Willow dye inks.
Some of the flowers in this wildflower patch were created by stamping certain flower images from this set multiple times using Marvy Brilliant Yellow dye ink onto Georgia Pacific cardstock. I then touched up these flowers by adding highlights and details using Copic markers. I then proceeded to randomly cut petals from these flowers and placed onto the patch of sunflowers. Two of the flowers remained whole. Some more stems were drawn onto the panel using Adirondack Lettuce and Willow pens.
The moon was created stamping a circle image from the set with Stazon white and cut out and adhered to the panel.
Colored cardstock, ribbon and a corner punch were also used to create this card.
This square card measures 5.75 inches X 5.75 inches.
This card was inspired by a wildflower card that I created during a Michelle Zindorf class this fall. Thanks, Michelle.
