This weeks Twisted Sister Challenge was to make a card with something that related to memories of our childhood. I knew straight away I thought of this goldfish I had been sent by Sue (aka Coffeestamper aka Perk)....
I laugh when I think of the sticker that my Mum put on a toilet cistern/bathroom when we were kids...it read 'Please don't flush...I keep my goldfish in here!' People never knew what to do....it has always made me laugh!!!
The bowl was made with embossed 'Spots and Dots' and cut it with a circle cutter, inked the outer edges and added Kindy Glitz to add the shimmer on the water! I then covered it with overhead transparency to give a glassy look, but as usual these things do not show up in photos! My DH suggested the way the poor fish is in the bowl....looking kinda 'flushed' I thought!! The sentiment is computer generated.
Thank for looking....your comments are always valued and so encouraging!!

This is so funny, a little sad but mostly funny. Your story is a crack up, love your Mom's sense of humor. When I first saw your fish I was like, aww poor baby, then I read your story and it was all fun. Great fish bowl, and I really like your colors. TFS

Ohhhhhh I remember that days when all we had as pet as kids was gold fish.. and yes- they would float to the top - dead........ and after a while, my mom gave up - and she used the old fishbowl to make Jello in!!! OHHHH!!! I called her on it even as a 6 year old!! Now it sounds like your mom had a great sense of humour - whilst my mom was very practical???????? Great fun card!!!
