oh, thanks, Jen for a fantastic mini...I loved your challenge! And I have to say, this is a green card...I was playing around last weekend with the packaging from Tim Holtz, it's a very heavy acetate, I am thought, this would be cool embossed with the textile folder from Cuttlebug...little did I know it would be the perfect overlay for the Bellagio Challenge!
I used Prima Marketing's clear acrylic dogwood spray to create my 'glass flowers'. I used Nick Bantock inks in Cerulean Azure, Rose Madder, and Chrome Yellow on cream cs. I kept overstamping the image, leaving the upper right corner clean. The textile transparency was adhered with MM glittery brads. I mounted this on top of SU's Pacific Point and the card is DoubleMates Merigold. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession inked with ColorBox black and lightly embossed. The paper is from Cosmo Cricket little girl group. The scalloped mat is cut from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie. I used a piece of hand-dyed silk to tie a tiny bow at the top.
I love the ceiling at the Bellagio, it is the work of Dale Chihuly, probably the most famous glass artist in the world today. If you click on my link, you can read how this was conceived and executed. There are over 2,000 flowers handbown glass! He has a glass school and museum in Tacoma WA. So my card celebrates the art of Mr. Chihuly...thanks so much for having a peak and of course, I love your comments!
