The inspiration artist this week was Glenda Mosher. I went to her website: http://glendamosher.blogspot.com/ to look for something that would give me inspiration. In the upper right hand corner of her page is a beautiful water color of 2 iris. I am a beginner 0ne-stroke painter and I gave it a try.
Here's what I came up with. I painted the iris using the one-stroke painting method. After that dried I went back and with water color pencils and an aqua brush added some light background color. I mounted the painted piece to a dark blue green piece of card stock for the frame. Then attached the frame to a card that had been covered with some DSP. I added some die cuts in metallic gold to the corners.
May painting title is printed on a piece of pale green vellum: Breath of Spring by Bonnie (who's expecting 7" of Snow tomorrow. Geeze can winter be over already?)

What a breath of spring that is. I'd frame that and hang it on the wall, it's beautiful. Did you say a beginner one-stroke painter??? Love the textured paper, too, and the curls in the corners and the white dots on the vellum. 7 inches of snow expected - yikes!!
