Anne is guest hosting the Inspiration Challenge for Stef this week. She chose the amazing art work of Glenda Mosher,,AKA,,,RobinRingTail here on SCS.
I chose her Jeweled Pears for my inspiration.
My mother was an amazing artist and when I was about 10 she gave me a canvas board and set up a fruit still life and let me paint. This lead me to a life long love of creating..... I still have that painting today...Glenda's still life paintings really spoke to my soul this morning ...I miss my mom an awful lot...
It is so much easier to create depth and texture with oils or watercolors, then with markers...so I've added some texture to these pears with mulberry paper and some fuzzy cord. I laid a layer of barely banana on the pears and used creamy carmel for depth and the smile is really rust sponged on....I also used a little craft white to add highlight and to TRY and give a roundness to the fruit.
Great job Anne....wonderful work Glenda !!!!
Hope you like my card.

Beautiful...especially with the added texture of the mulberry paper!
