This is for one of our great secretaries at work. I missed her birthday last fall, but thought she might enjoy an "out-of-the-blue" card.
I colored Miss Annie using copics. I then stamped the star twice onto the yellow patterned paper-once on the front and once on the back (this is important as I learned the hard way) and cut each of them out.
For her magic fishing wand, I cut a piece of thin (26 gauge) jewelry wire about 4 inches longer than I needed it. On one end, I used a pair of small needlenose pliers to form a loop for the star to hang from. Use the pliers I threaded the wire through the holes I had pierced on both sides of her hands, by bending it to go through the holes and then pulling it out the other side. This makes your wire really twisted and ugly, so once you pull it through the last hole, keep pulling until you have all pretty wire showing, then just cut off the ugly excess (which is why I made it longer than I needed it to be). Then I ran the two stars through the xyron to glued them back to back with the thread in between them (this is why you need to make stamp one of them on the backside, so that they will line up correctly).
After all that, the rest of the card is pretty self-explanatory. I printed the sentiment in red using Typo Upright & Bernhart font and went over "star" with my stardust pen.

again that color combo, that is so great. I love these cute little stamps. I think the hanging star really makes this card a fab. I have been parusing your gallery and it is awesome!
