I just don't think I "get" the inspiration challenges. I have started several, but got frustrated and quit because I can't find the right shaped flower or leaf... etc. (I actually started another one for this challenge that I like much better, but I don't think it would qualify as a CAS card). I think the problem is... I'm OCD and think it HAS to look exactly (or very close) to the inspiration piece. I really need to practice the inspiration challenges and view them as INSPIRATION, NOT CASING!! Is there hope for me?? lol
Anyhoo, this is the pair of shoes I chose to case:
Click on the Zoom... the eylets are brown on that picture! The "laces" are actually a golden yellow... might be More Mustard, but it was a scrap, so I don't know!

This is so cute.
It took me a while to "get" the inspiration thing as well. You don't have to reproduce the item as a card, just be inspired by some element of it -- the color, the crab, etc. I actually enjoy going into inspiration challenge galleries and following the links to the inspiration piece to see how other people approch things. It's fascinating, really.
