I just loved Jenn's weekend sketch. I've been busy and missed out the last two weeks, so with a day off today I made up for that by making two from this sketch. A Christmas one, because I'm trying to get on top of my quota of Christmas cards for this month before we go away for a few days. And then a Spring one because it's such glorious spring weather here these days. The scent from a bed of daffodils in work when they've been warming in the sunshine is just divine.
This is my Christmas card. It's a smaller base, 4 3/4" square. I covered it with silver for the top half, black for the bottom, and striped ribbon. I added some fused Fantasy Fibre in Snowflake over the black layer, for interest. The Labels 1 layer was Core'dinations cardstock embossed with the Snowflakes folder and sanded. I edged it with silver Stickles. Again I used an ATC for the top panel, and just trimmed it down a bit. The snowman was stamped with black and coloured with markers. This layer is edged with black Stickles. More Primas, with silver Stickles in the centre. I thought about snowflakes, and tried small snowflakes in the centres of the Primas, but in the end I just went with what you see.
