This is my second submission for todays Ways to Use it challenge. We were to use any green or recycle things in our cards. This was really a fun card to create. This is a Flap card with minor tweaking. I ended up making it 1/4 inch smaller just because I couldn't get the circle cutter to behave properly.
Here is my story:
I followed the wonderful tutorial from the resources here on SCS but had trouble like I mentioned before with the circle cutter for the flap. Minor adjustments is all. But the concept is still the same. I started out with old olive c/s and scored where needed. I added jelly bean dp as part as the front of the card. For the flap of the card, I used the pierce tool and added lines with the white gel pen. I stamped the image with black ink onto white c/s. I colored it using prismacolor pencils, baby oil, and blending stumps. For some reason, I like the blending stumps made by Taiwan verses China...anyways, he is matted onto yellow. I have tacky tape on the back on the image half way so the flap can open. This is the part I tweeked also because I didn't have any magnets like the tutorial said to use. I also added small amounts of diamond glaze to the jelly beans that the mouse is holding. The sentiment is computer generated and printed on yellow c/s. I added ribbon and tied a bow to the top of the flap. Thanks for looking, having these tutorials, and these challenges. Have a wonderful day!
