Hi! This card was made for today's Sketch Challenge.
Sweet Peas....I remember when I was in Kindergarten in Winsor, PA. The neighbor kids were all much older than me...Most of them at least 4 years older. We had many great days playing in the woods and field behind our homes on the hill. (Now, it is probably filled with houses.) However, the field was filled with Sweet Peas. I remember looking at the colors and thinking, "I wish I could color a picture this pretty!" My mother used to go out and sketch the field. Then, she would paint everything in watercolors. I would always tell her that they were too light. She'd smile and say, "But, my dear, I like them that way!"
So, far be from me to LIKE what she did! (Even back then, I was an "art rebel!" LOL) Ever since then, I have LOVED bold strokes made with BRIGHT colors...Hmmmm....That sounds like I've had "Mother Issues" all my life! LOL!
The Sweet Pea was stamped on watercolor paper, colored with markers and then blended with an aqua painter. Next, I cut it out. I stamped another Sweet Pea image onto white and colored it in. I cut that image with a Nestie. Then, I layered the full flower over the Nestie with foam tape.
