1. Isn't this the coolest teapot? It was a gift from Lorraine, a friend and fellow blogger/SCSer. Lorraine (pidgesmom) sent me this teapot back in December. I was thrilled with it and knew it would be so fun to feature in my teapot challenge! It's sorta on the small side with a really cool and unique shape! It rocks! Lorraine has participated in almost all of my teapot challenges with wonderful creative cards every week!
2. The background to this card is several layers of strips of paper. Not sure if you can see it but there is a cut out circle behind the holly leaves which was supposed to imitate the round lid on the teapot. Oh well, my ideas don't always work out!
3. When I was putting the last layer of strips of paper I got frustrated trying to glue little tiny strips of paper on my card so I scrapped that idea and just wrapped jute (I think that's what it's called) around the card to top off the layers. Then I weaved the bottom half of my little teapot through the layers of twine. This card is very card-boardy looking which is sorta cool for a change! Thank you Lorraine for your awesome gift, your friendship, generousity, creativity and talent! I appreciate you sharing all those things with me.

This is so adorable, Cindy! I only seen a few of your finished cards for the teapot challenges that were on your blog, but what I think is neat is that you are actually making a teapot on your card, instead of just using elements for inspiration. It is so fun that you make the little replicas of the teapot!
And yes, I did upload late last night... too funny that you recognized that my card looked like your teapot!
I had a fun time... thanks!
