I'd say you have it down pat! This is lovely! Stipple Shells is one of my very favorite sets--this is very sophisticated!

What a lovely card, but I'd say as an artist you might be a bit humble This would be nice to add to our techniques section where you show step by step how to do it. I put in a search for "grid technique" and found a couple of examples, but it appears people may have done them in different ways. (Some of you old timers know because there have been a lot of discussions and then experimenting, but then others of us....) Is it where you put post it notes down and then worked within little areas? Also, did you watercolor the main shell?

The grid technique is also referred to as "Retiform", so you might try searching under that, too?
It can be done with post it notes, but I've only seen step-by-steps using actual half sheets of typing paper to cover up the portions. It took me a while to get the hang of it, I'll admit and while it's a relatively simple technique, it took me some time to finish one? I think it's because I tried to use too many colors and maybe if I'd limited it to just two, I would have finished fast enough to want to make a few more! LOL! Meantime, I just sit here and gaze at this gem--it really is a beauty!

I agree with Julie, this IS a gem!! I tried this with the same stamp set but different colors, this morning, with pretty good results. I was looking for something new to try and this fit the bill! Kiki, how did you color the big shell in the center? Gorgeous!
I burn through blender pens because I use them with my chalks. I dip the tip into the chalk (my chalks are a mess). I used all the cs colors of the card.
